Tik Tok concern:

Image result for tik tok app

We have become aware that some children will have downloaded an APP called ‘Tik Tok’: this APP is for children aged 13+.

The APP is encouraging children to write songs/lyrics about their friends or people on their contacts. They are also being encouraged to write songs that are not positive and could be seen as ‘bullying’ towards other children: making fun of them or being unkind about them. They are then being asked to distribute and circulate these songs.

We are hopeful that this wouldn’t happen for children at Janvrin and we haven’t had any direct information that this has been directed towards children at Janvrin.

However, we would ask all parents and carers to monitor this closely and to ensure that, if their child does have this APP, that it is deleted.

If you have any concerns around this at all either now or in the future, please contact the school straight away.
